Dave Polisky Dave is originally from Upstate New York.He has a BA in criminal justice from Brockport
State College in Western NY.He has spent the last 15 years working for
various manufacturers in the flooring industry. Dave has
lived in lots of places including New York, Cincinnati,
and Chicago (where he learned to love the Chicago
Cubs—ask him what the secret meaning of CUBS is) working
as regional sales manager. He finally found his way to Tennessee when he was
offered a position as V.P. of sales and marketing, and
overseeing product development for a company in
Northeastern Tennessee.
Tennessee has changed Dave’s
life--it is where he met my wife, and now he is a
converted Southerner.(See below for information of Dave’s first date
with his wife)Dave and his wife moved to Chattanooga 2 years
ago from the mountains of East Tennessee. It is the perfect place for Dave and his wife
because they like to spend as much of their time as
possible enjoying the outdoors—and there are a lot of
outdoor activities to enjoy in Tennessee.Dave worked his way through college as a
contractor which has proven to be invaluable experience.Dave likes to remodel and he is very frugal, so
he has been able to do much of the work on their 1950’s
home.The
downside for Dave is that things tend to happen to him,
so it’s handy that he can fix just about anything that
he breaks.
Just ask his wife how they ended up with that new garage
door.
Dave loves sales.Nothing is more satisfying to him than
developing new business with customers, creating winning
programs and lasting relationships. His other passions include spending time with his
wife and dogs, working in his yard, cooking, and riding
anything with 2-wheels.The king of the Polisky household is their 14
year old Golden Retriever, Duke. They also have a lab mix named Buddy, the
luckiest homeless little stray you will ever meet.
Dave’s first actual date with his
wife was a Harley ride through the Tennessee Mountains
for a dinner date, which ended up being a 60 mile drive
home through the pouring rain.Fortunately for Dave, she had already met Duke,
so he was able to get a second date.Thank goodness for Duke!
My general belief in life is to
laugh as often as possible, find the good in everyone,
and not take life too seriously.
